Adidas miCoach System

This is not about a new scheme from Adidas, instead it is a feature in the new Samsung phone which uses Adidas' tech. The new Samsung F110 phone is part of Adidas brand new miCoach system. It can be described as web based progress report of your performance in the sports endeavors. This phone takes inputs from the Adidas sensors. This phone comes with slider quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support. It is also a full fledged music player with FM radio. There is 1GB storage space available for your music but i don't think there's card slot available. It also has 2 mega pixel camera. The music player and camera are of moderate quality.
Let us come to the main matter. There are two sensors, one for the heart beats and the other one for your stride. They are actually synchronised and their data are sent to the miCoach software which will give you real time voice guidance for your work outs. There is an accelerometer which gives all the stats like run distance, time, calories, etc. Finally you can sync your entire day's workout with website and keep it up to date.

Apple releses SDK

Finally Apple has made the iPhone SDK public. Now the developers, who are interested can make softwares and applications for the iPhones. The applications will be available to the users only after June 2008. The SDK tools provided by them are available as free download from the developer's tool from the apple site. Developers will have access to the same "Cocoa Touch" framework and all other APIs used by Apple for iPhone software development. You will be provided with all the tools that are needed for the development of the software. You can simulate it on the iPhone simulator. But for an amount of $99, you will be allowed to do it on an original iPhone itself.
